Kind words from Clients:
Keg and Case has been tremendously fortunate to have engaged Field Guide and most notably Mary. Upon meeting Mary and sharing with her the vision/mission of Keg and Case, it was immediately apparent that our values were aligned. Community, reciprocity and collaboration had been the guiding principles of Keg and Case and were in fact a prerequisite for Field Guide in entering this space.
Field Guide helped us improve the quality and impact of our outreach. They added authenticity, nuance, and an element of surprise that makes for a good story. They wove together multiple themes — in this case, food, renewable energy, and pollinator habitats — and introduced diverse audiences to new information in ways people might not have anticipated. Additionally, we were connected to key influencers who could help amplify our messages and do so with sincerity. Field Guide occupies a great space that’s highly relevant to the work that we do at Fresh Energy. Their interdisciplinary storytelling skills make them a valuable collaborator. We were really pleased with our project.

When we brought Field Guide on board to help with marketing and social media we were instantly impressed by how well they already seemed to know our business. Their remarkable intuition and innovative planning allowed us to check off so many of our business goals within 6 months it nearly made our heads spin! From meaningful marketing campaigns to internal communication, Field Guide effectively took our brand—and our people—to a better place. Brilliant!

We are very proud of our double mission at Tech Dump where we make both an environmental and social impact. It was difficult, however, to find the right partner to help build our brand. The team at Field Guide completely understood and supported our vision, providing clear communications and identifying the most cost-efficient ways to spread the word. Beyond the significant revenue and web traffic growth we’ve seen since working with them, they’ve joined in discussions regarding important strategy decisions and business model tweaks. They are an important part of our team

Working with Field Guide has been a great boost to Mademoiselle Miel. They seemed to always belong and have been partners with me in planning and approaching the future. My business moved to the next level with their help. From organizing a schedule, reviewing design and even picking up supplies for an event, they are an amazing source of support. Their counsel is always creative and wise with resources in every nook and cranny. -Susan Brown, CEO
Field Guide enthusiastically supported our mission and understood the needs of our organization from the very start. They helped our nonprofit raise our profile across Minnesota with a winning communications strategy and solid implementation that included media relations, event planning and marketing, and social media initiatives. Additionally, in cooperation with members of the Board, they worked with us on needed collateral and created a sustainable plan that would allow staff members to maintain outreach on our own. Working with Field Guide was a wonderful collaborative experience- they were always accessible, available, and professional. -Madalyn Cioci, MPCA, Founding Board Member, ReUSE Minnesota
Field Guide is amazing – you are savvy, high speed and get shit done..thank you.-Tony Bol, CEO
The Yes On 2 Mpls campaign got off to a strong start because of the incredible branding Field Guide Inc. provided us. We called Field Guide because we needed help getting a concise vision for a group of interested but busy restaurant owners.
We wanted a simple way to speak to the issue of why people should care about changing the outdated 70/30 food to beer and wine sales ratio that affected 72 neighborhood restaurants in Minneapolis.Field Guide got it instantly, came up with naming and branding strategies that worked. They hit the ground running, diplomatically, and came up with fun, effective ways to get the word out through traditional media and via grassroots/ viral methods as well. -Joe Widmer, Campaign Spokesperson
Field Guide is a wonderful resource. When I made the decision to go launch a Kickstarter in the fall of 2012, they jumped right in, joined the team with helped craft our strategy and messaging. Their insight and writing skills were invaluable. The Field Guides stuck with it through the entire crazy ride and helped keep the campaign energy and morale alive, the messaging on point, and they led the coordination of key elements that made our Kickstarter a wonderful success: from the launch party to the rewards structure, celebration events and media relations. (And most importantly they kept me sane :))
Field Guides are now my go-to when I have extra projects including presentations and articles — they understand how I think and how I work, they support me in articulating my voice and the mission of the Birchwood for any audience.

Little Free Library is a small but mighty nonprofit with reach around the world, and over the years we have needed support for our communications and PR efforts. The team from Field Guide provided input on communications strategy, helped us define goals and identify tactical ways to help achieve them. Additionally, Field Guide made sure we blanketed the Twin Cities media landscape for our first festival in Minneapolis, and ultimately got national coverage of the event. Plus, whenever we take our libraries and programming on the road across the United States, they make sure the local press knows we’re coming to town! -Todd Bol, Founder
For our 20th anniversary, we hired Field Guide to coordinate our communication plans and marketing initiatives. They helped us create internal messaging, external talking points, press releases and point of sale materials. By honoring our achievements, celebrating our uniquenesses and highlighting our commitment to our community, Field Guide helped us garner the attention of the national publication Civil Eats, along with regular appearances in local print, online, and broadcast news outlets. We are proud of what we accomplished together and would highly recommend them to business who needs a gentle push to showcase their work or products. –Lee Wallace, CEO/Queen Bean
