Yes on 2 Mpls

The Yes On 2 Mpls campaign got off to a strong start because of the incredible branding Field Guide Inc. provided us. When a supporter of the campaign volunteered to make some videos for us we handed the project over to FGI, knowing that their ability to communicate with clarity and their rolodex of local celebrities was going to make that project a success. Nearly 10,000 YouTube views later, we knew we made the right call.

Citizens for A Modern Minneapolis

We called Field Guide because we needed help getting a concise vision for a group of interested but busy restaurant owners.

We wanted a simple way to speak to the issue of why people should care about changing the outdated 70/30 food to beer and wine sales ratio that affected 72 neighborhood restaurants in Minneapolis.

Field Guide got it instantly, came up with naming and branding strategies that worked. They hit the ground running, diplomatically, and came up with fun, effective ways to get the word out through traditional media and via grassroots/ viral methods as well.

 Posters, buttons, yard signs, promo materials for the restaurants- you name it, they were on it. They helped craft and produce some down-and-dirty, campy and funny videos that helped people understand the issue. They worked some casting magic—helping Yes on 2 Mpls succeed with a whopping 83% of the vote. I would work with Field Guide again in a heartbeat.

Birchwood Cafe

Field Guide is a wonderful resource. When I made the decision to go launch a Kickstarter in the fall of 2012, they jumped right in, joined the team with helped craft our strategy and messaging. Their insight and writing skills were invaluable. 

 The Field Guides stuck with it through the entire crazy ride and helped keep the campaign energy and morale alive, the messaging on point, and they led the coordination of key elements that made our Kickstarter a wonderful success: from the launch party to the rewards structure, celebration events and media relations.  (And most importantly they kept me sane :))
