Over 80 Minneapolis neighborhood restaurants were negatively affected by an outdated mandate requiring compliance with a 70/30 ratio of food to alcohol sales. After a group of committed entrepreneurs secured a ballot initiative for the 2014 election that would pave the way for more modern and business friendly regulation, they needed to educate voters on the issue and garner support. They turned to Field Guide and we provided a brand campaign — YesOn2 — including logo, identity, and fun, campy videos featuring star performances by former mayor RT Rybak and members of Rogue Valley and The New Standards, and Jeremy Messersmith. The energetic campaign succeeded and a whopping 83% of Minneapolis voters said Yes On 2.
