Field Guide was thrilled to be invited to serve as the press team for Taste of Iceland Minneapolis, a 5 day celebration of all things Icelandic. After years hosting the festival in markets across the United States and Canada, Taste of Iceland made its Minneapolis debut in 2019. Field Guide worked closely with Iceland Naturally, the host organization, and local partners in the Twin Cities to develop a comprehensive promotion and PR plan to build excitement for a fantastic program of cultural events featuring some of the best names in Icelandic food, literature, music, and more.

ensuring success for an exciting event series making its Minneapolis debut

The festival program included a special menu from an award winning guest chef at the Red Stag Supperclub, a cocktail class held by the country's top mixologist serving up delicious drinks, literary events with Andri Snaer Magnuson, a giveaway by Icealandair, and a rock concert at the Fine Line featuring some of Iceland's most exciting goth bands.

The Outcome

As the boots on the ground in the Twin Cities, Field Guide provided seamless communication and coordination to ensure success for this exciting event series. Our team worked closely with Iceland Naturally to drive promotion and execute a media strategy that garnered TV, print, and digital media coverage. Field Guide worked in close collaboration with festival partners throughout the planning phase, keeping stakeholders informed along the way.
